Matt Figger, the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach on Frank Martin’s staff at South Carolina, stopped by SportsTalk to discuss the progress of the Gamecocks in the wake of USC’s 82-73 at LSU on Wednesday. The victory marked the first SEC win of the Frank Martin era, and the Gamecocks’ (11-5, 1-2) first league win on the road since February 2011.
Figger like the aggression and passion South Carolina played with, and is happy with the way the team has been fighting, noting the Gamecocks are only a few points away from being 3-0 in the SEC.
USC will face Vanderbilt in their next contest at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday in Colonial Life Arena. To listen to the full interview,
