Sigh...looks like another buy out coming up.
Maybe so. I’m not sure what Kingston’s contract status is but it could be time. I do know we’ve had a ton of pitching issues and injuries this season but also never understood the attraction to hiring him in the first place. I think he’s right where his previous record would put him. Mediocre teams. They play hard but it’s sad to see how far we’ve regressed as a program.

Yes, we've fallen a long way since those heady NC years.

I haven't been following the team as I have in recent years, but it seems like we have a hard time finishing out games.

Have pitching injuries exposed weakness in the bullpen, i.e., having to use guys before they're ready?

Yes, injuries to the pitching staff have hit the team hard. We've also failed to make moves to the pen on multiple occasions until it was too late and games lost due to lack of quality depth/pitching. We're 2nd to highest pitching ERA wtih 5.30. Compound that with poor hitting and being last in every statistical category. Last in team avg with .259. Last in HR, last in AB, last in runs, last in hits.

Wonder if Kingston gets 1 more year. I always thought the hire of Kingston was a stretch, but I really thought he would do better here than he has. Every team has injuries and while our pitching staff has been hit hard, Kingston is struggling regardless. It is sad to see our program that was making the post season all the time become the worst statistically in the SEC.
