USC and Clemson are wasting no time when it comes to recruiting Dutch Fork DB Stephen Davis Jr. 6'3" 210lbs Dutch Fork coach Tom Knotts said the Gamecocks were the first to offer the 6-3 Davis....in the 8th grade. Friday, Clemson recruiter Brent Venables visited the school and offered Davis who is now a freshman. Those are the first two offers for the son of the former Panthers, Redskins, Rams, Auburn and Spartanburg High School star running back. Davis plays safety for the Silver Foxes but Knotts said he likely will play more running back in the future.
