USC signed DE MJ Webb of Madison, GA for the 2017 class and he’s already enrolled and expected to contribute some this season.  Will Muschamp once again is knocking on the door of a talented prospect at Morgan County High and just like with Webb, he’s getting a favorable response.

LB Quin Williams (6-2 205) visited USC last Saturday to take a closer look at the school and watch practice.  He liked things so much he’s declared the Gamecocks his current favorite.

“Everything kind of stood out to me,” Williams said.  “In the practice, I saw tempo and intensity.  Nobody takes plays off, everything is fast pace.  I like the way they use the middle linebacker.  He did a little bit of everything.  I like to play like that.  They want everything to be fast and play fast.”

Williams said he was impressed by the new buildings at USC for the football program and the university and the plans for the new ops building.  He also likes the building project Muschamp has underway for the team.

“They are definitely getting better,” he said.  “The better the players coming in the better they are going to be.  MJ loves it.  He’s trying to sell me on the Gamecocks.”

Williams said USC’s lead on the pack is a narrow one.  He’s also high on Auburn, Florida and Florida State. He also has offers from Tennessee, NC State, Michigan, Michigan State and Mississippi State.   Besides USC, he has visited Auburn, Tennessee, Michigan State and Ohio State.  He is returning for the USC spring game Saturday and will visit Auburn Tuesday.

Williams said he’s not rushing into a decision.  “”My parents want me to look at all my options.”   He is not graduating early.
