South Carolina returns home for another crucial SEC clash as it welcomes LSU (19-7, 7-6 SEC) to Colonial Life Arena at 3:30 p.m. (ET) on Saturday. It's Legends Weekend for the Gamecocks as the team will honor program greats at halftime.
As part of Legends Weekend, Carolina is celebrating the anniversaries of two special teams, the 50th anniversary of the 1971 ACC Championship team, which was moved to this year due to limited capacity because of COVID-19 last season, and the 25th anniversary of the 1997 SEC Championship team.
Kevin Fitzgerald (pxp) and Carolyn Peck (analyst) will be on-site calling the game for the SEC Network broadcast.
The South Carolina Athletics Department and EdVenture Children's Museum will also be hosting a book drive outside the arena prior to tipoff Saturday as part of the Read With the Gamecocks program, which is in its 13th season. Fans are encouraged to bring new or lightly used books appropriate for ages K-12 to donate at tables located at the fountain outside Colonial Life Arena on Sunday.
