USC still a factor with offensive lineman Steven Gonzalez but has slipped down his list

4 star OL Steven Gonzalez 6'5" 305lbs of Union City, NJ still has USC in his top five but the Gamecocks have slid down his list. Gonzalez once favored USC though he did so with a caveat. As more offers have been extended, those schools have jumped the Gamecocks. He named Ohio State and Penn State his top two in that order followed by USC, Wisconsin, Boston College and Rutgers in no order. “USC is still in my top four,” he said. “I just talked to coach (G.A.) Mangus and we remain in touch. I still plan on visiting them this spring when I swing through the South.” His other recent offer was Duke. Gonzalez said, “I’m going to try to schedule a visit there when I can get to a home basketball game.” No date has been set for his visit to Columbia.
