USC trustees now considering a bronze Cocky sculpture on campus.

Cock the school mascot for the University of South Carolina, will have a bronze statue erected on campus. The USC Board of Trustees approved a project on Friday afternoon that calls for a “life-sized, life-like” statue of Cocky on a bench in a shaded, landscaped area near the Melton Observatory.
 

 
 
Cocky statue which will be a 15- to 18-foot tall bronze statue of a gamecock not far from the Rogers statue. The cost for that project is $995,000.
