South Carolina quarterback commitment Dakereon Joyner led Fort Dorchester High School to an impressive 35-14 win at Dorman on Friday night.
According to Matt Connolly of The State, Joyner completed 9 of 17 passes for 82 yards, with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, to go along with 15 carries for 135 yards and 2 scores.

Fort Dorchester returns to action at home Friday night against Colleton County. They’ll be in the Columbia area on Friday, Sept. 1 for a showdown at Dutch Fork High School.
The last time Fort Dorchester played at Dutch Fork, South Carolina coach Will Muschamp and co-offensive coordinator Kurt Roper were on hand to watch.
According to the 247Sports composite, Joyner is ranked as the No. 9 dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2018. Nationally, he’s ranked No. 219 overall. Among prospects from the state of South Carolina, Joyner (6-foot-2, 200 pounds) is ranked fourth.
Before the commitment by 4-star wide receiver Josh Vann, Joyner was the highest-ranked member of the Gamecocks 2018 class.
An Elite 11 participant, he’s on track to graduate from Fort Dorchester in December and enroll at South Carolina in January. Earlier this summer, he squatted over 400 pounds.
