South Carolina quarterback commitment Jay Urich had 3 touchdown passes for Wren (Piedmont, S.C.) High School in Friday night’s 49-32 loss to Easley (S.C.) High School.
The last of the scoring throws (37, 3, 19) was followed by a 2-point conversion run by Urich, who’s ranked as the No. 21 dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2017 by the 247Sports composite.

In Wren’s season opener, Urich completed 19 of 30 passes for 249 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also rushed 19 times for 115 yards and 3 scores.
As a junior, Urich passed for 2,758 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,031 yards and 9 scores.
