With the Women's Basketball team set to prep for their upcoming 2021-22 season with an exhibition game tommorow (Monday Nov. 1st), the North Carolina Head Coach Courtney Banghart brought her Tarheels squad down to Columbia yesterday (Saturday Oct. 30th) and the Carolina Coliseum to scrimmage against Gamecocks Head Coach Dawn Staley's squad.
Had this been an exhibition game, there would've been a boxscore stat sheet to review, but typically scrimmages (unless they are intra-team scrimmages) are closed to the public, and stats are not officially kept, and there's no official "winner" and "loser". So little to report on here, except there was a twitter video of portions of the scrimmage provided by the WBB official account, and the theme of the clip could be "Block Party":
So just as the tweet says, a little taste to wet the beak with, then we get an actual game boxscore tomorrow night against Benedict College, scheduled to tip off tomorrow night at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Life Arena. The season-opening game of the 21-22 season will be at North Carolina State in Raleigh, N.C. a week after this coming Tuesday (Nov. 9th)....
