I like the "Home" thing - it is a variation on the "family" comments that Dabs has used to great success in the upstate.

Since Beamer was born here, has family here and coached here during some of our best years, he does see South Carolina as home - the place he wants to be. Even more than  VA Tech.

He needs to double down on getting in-state players - we have more talent here than people realize, and I think it makes a difference when you are playing for your state's flagship university. I know that people say there is not much talent in-state, but the NFL disagrees - and Clemson is only going after a few each year. We should be racking up.

I want to see South Carolinians on the field and former Gamecocks on the sidelines, both as coaches and as supporters of the team. Let's see some state pride!

If we are going to compete in the SEC, and with Clemson, we have to have a head coach who wants to be here, and instills a mindset that makes players want to be here.  Having juniors that are eligible for the draft stay here and play their senior season because they want to be here, would be a completely new approach from the last several years.  If Carolina doesn't mean "home" and "family", it doesn't mean anything.  You fight for what you love.
