WHOO-HOO! DISCUSSION GAMEDAY THREAD:  USC VS Gators  Saturday Game-Time "12:00pm ET" Inspired by cocky0

While we on,y got 3 out of that our line was pushing them pretty good.  Hopefully that drive took something out of their defense for later

Gamecocks drive down the field behind great rushing from both Feaster and Denson, and take it down to 1st and goal at the UF 6, but a 9-yard sack of Hilinski blows up the play-calling, and we resort to a FG made by White. Gamecocks re-take the lead 20-17 with 3:16 left in 3rd Qtr......

Gamecocks do what we absolutely could not do - turn the ball over deep in our side of the field, late in the game. A fumbled exchange on a run play recovered by Florida gives the Gators the ball at the USC red-zone. They capitalize with a touchdown, to extend their lead to 31-20.....

Refs are terrible.  Basically gave FL 14 points and calling us for everything.   Totally one sided in their calling of the game.

The Gamecocks can't get their offense working, and have to try for it on 4 and 3, and Ryan has to rush the pass to Bryan due to an untouched Gator defender bearing down on him. Florida gets the ball on our side of the field, and our defense is unable to stop them, and they score. 38-20 Florida, and a game where we competed and battled for 80% of the game, has now turned into a blow-out.....

There needs to be an investigation. There is no way these refs are that blind, someone had to paid them off.

SEC refs are trash every year, especially in our games (and others that don't feature top conference matchups). We usually have to play against two teams. Makes it harder than it should be, but it isn't anything new. And it shouldn't be unexpected. The bigger problem was RH being off his game overthrowing open receivers downfield. If we hit a couple of those misses, the game becomes a lot closer and I think we win.

I'm not trashing Ryan; he's more on than he is off. Just so happens today he was off.

The only thing I saw of the game was espn highlights during hafltime of the UGA game. I noticed the above as well. It did sound like the refs were terrible in this game. I'll have to catch a replay of it.

I'm really not one to complain about refs. However three missed penalties on Florida that directly gave them touchdowns were so blatant even Stevie Wonder could have called those. Idiot Florida fans are arguing that a pass interference or a facemask was missed which is bogus because Florida couldn't move the ball in the first half. They didn't need the ref to stop them. Go back and watch the replays of the two touchdowns they scored. Even college football fans that aren't fans of either of these two schools are calling this officiating horrific

I am trying to calm down a little. It don't matter how you play, you cannot beat bad refs. 14 of UF's points should not have been there. Without the Refs ignoring florida's blatant penalties, they would not have scored when they did. Could that have scored later, maybe, but those 2 should have come back.

I don't even think I can stand to watch it again.

What good will it do if Coach and Tanner were to complain. They are not going to change the fact UF was given the game.

A good friend of mine is a Div II referee. He gets to do some fill in work in the FBS. He said those Refs are like NFL; very wealthy and/or have high paying jobs. Giving them a fine will not hurt them. Life is, we got screwed. Just makes me very upset. And watching Champ post game, he is upset too.

How could they not see this. It was not a quick jersey grab.
