Why did the Gamecocks play so poorly in the Belk Bowl?

For me simple, the players as a team their heads were not into the preparation to play. Why?  Started with Deebo not wanting to play along with other players getting their injuries taken care of by operation procedures or healing. Which to me is understanding? To put the blame totally on coaches is wrong. Up to players to get their heads into the game, coaches can help by leading but players must act. Virginia was so happy and mentally ready to be there and play, All this lead to a dismal performance by the Gamecocks. I saw so much ripping the coaches on the other boards no names but anyhow fire the defensive coordinator why pay a million to Offense coordinator all the strength coach fault on and on. Everyone one had a hand in this loss, to me anyhow, but saying that Gamecocks have to find an answer to their running game problems along with Linebacker play. Get depth in all areas. To do the latter need better players through recruiting to build a very good 1st team and work your way down to the second team and so on so on like  Clemson among others.  Take for what it is worth, just my thoughts.

Feat, almost the entire season we played bad, it was not just he bowl game, let’s be true here

That may be true, Spurrier, but look at the difference of play when the team was properly prepared. The talent is there but It eventually boils down to the players wanting to play. You wil never convince (or the rest of the nation, for that matter) that UVA is better than Clemson. True we lost to that upstate team, but look at the difference of play. The boys didn't even look like they were trying Sat.
