Will Muschamp makes first public remarks since being fired as South Carolina’s coach
August 08, 2022

Former South Carolina coach Will Muschamp said he thinks he has “the best job in America” with the Georgia football team in his first public comments since being fired by USC in November 2020. “I really appreciate the opportunity coach (Kirby) Smart gave me to come back to my alma mater and live in Athens,” Muschamp said Tuesday during Georgia’s 2022 preseason camp. “It’s been an awesome experience, obviously.”

Muschamp, who wasn’t asked directly about his South Carolina tenure on Tuesday, joined Georgia’s staff in January 2021. He’s entering his second season on reigning national champion Georgia’s staff and his first as a co-defensive coordinator alongside Glenn Schumann.

“Again, what is your role in the organization? Do the best job you can in the role you have, and if you don’t like it, go somewhere else,” Muschamp said, referencing his longtime coaching philosophy. “It’s real simple. I love my role. I told my wife the other day: I think I’ve got the best job in America.” referring to Georgia.

Screw Mr "All Gas No Brakes" (as he goes for a 57 yard FG down by 3 TDs in the 3rd quarter)

LOL Chump did not say much...
I am learning to bite my tongue for the sake of my own peace. There is no reason I should be upset with Will outside of the small confines of college football history of which I was but a spectator. I would be happy to just not think about him at all.

Good guy/bad HC.
I don't despise him like I did with Brad Scott. WM didn't fail due to lack of effort.

Chump reminds me of fat Brad. Leave it at that and move on close the book on this guy. Like you GH just want to forget the guy mad easy 15 m here as the door kick him in the ass lucky dud got kick out made a S@##$loa of money on the way out.

Yep. It's over and done with. He's gone. I actually liked him as a person, but he was a horrible HC. I won't lose any sleep over him. He can get on with his life, and we need to get on with ours. We upgraded BIG TIME in getting Shane Beamer. Let's look at the Muschamp experiment, not as a failure, but as an experience of learning what not to do again.
