Will Muschamp says Brandon McIlwain will remain as South Carolina’s starting quarterback

Will Muschamp did not name a starting quarterback for the Gamecocks’ first 3 games this season.
But the South Carolina coach already has named his starter for the next one.
Freshman Brandon McIlwain will be Muschamp’s starter moving forward after USC’s 20-15 win, the coach said Saturday.
McIlwain played from start to finish against East Carolina. He completed 16 of 28 passes for 195 yards. He ran for 2 touchdowns and 34 yards on nine carries.
Muschamp said the decision was made Sunday to start McIlwain against East Carolina.
