Ortre Smith
WR OrTre Smith of Wando is heading towards a September 11th announcement date which coincides with his birthday with very little movement in the process in recent weeks. He still has his same final five of USC, Clemson, North Carolina, Georgia and Florida. He does plan to narrow to the list to a final two before making his decision.
“I’m talking to every coach here and there,” said Smith adding that he hears the most from USC, Clemson, North Carolina and Georgia. He last talked with Clemson recruiter Tony Elliott about a week ago and he last heard from USC recruiter Bryan McClendon about a week ago.
Smith knows there’s not much more recruiters can tell him to win him over. He’s fully versed on all the schools thru visits and many conversations. What’s left for him now simply is to buckle down and make the call.
“How comfortable I feel,” Smith said will be one of the deciding factors. “Me being comfortable in general. Relationship is key to me.”
Smith said he wasn’t sure if he would make it back to USC or Clemson prior to making his decision. Clemson as a home game on September 10th. USC does not have a home game prior to his decision.
