I have an Akorn by Char-Grill. It’s a big green egg knock off. Charcoal with wood chunks for smoking. It’s not fancy but gets the job done.
I don’t have any experience with pellet smokers. People seem to either really love them or don’t care for them.

I like the idea of electronically "maintaining" a temperature, rather than me trying to manipulate the air-flow to maintain temperature. Just not sure I want to tackle that learning curve.
