Beamer to OU rumors

The Coaches at the High School level really Like Shane Beamer he is getting good vibes from all over the country especially down in Florida where my son is an Principal at one of the schools there,  2 kids have heard from him recently there .   They are 5 star kids

Chatter involving coaching changes/moves always happens this time of year.

Venables is really the only coordinator with a good enough resume to go anywhere right now.  James Franklin was the only other desirable candidate for some of the major vacancies, but PSU squashed that possibility with a 10-year extension.

It's been a bumpy season for us, but I am really glad we don't have to go looking for a new coaching staff right now.

Recruiting, prepping for a possible bowl game, and getting players ready for the combine give Shane a full plate of things to do right now.

Not to mention academics and graduations.
We'd be at the bottom of the line in a nutty, nutty year like this.

Josh H. is on the radar at O.U. all they have to do is figure out how and when and then it's an deal if if the other say no they are waiting on Cliff K. to say no they also are looking at Notre Dame D COACH,    Defensive  head coach   They would love to have Fickle at CIN .  The buyout is the issue here.

another name that just got mentioned was Oregon's coach, I don't believe that is even an real chance.

was lincoln riley opposed to joining the SEC?  I agree that this move looks like it was to avoid being around with OU joins...can't say I blame him

In Oklahoma’s gilded history, successful coaches don’t leave for other college coaching jobs. Bud Wilkinson retired from coaching and entered politics, then became a broadcaster. Chuck Fairbanks left for the NFL. Barry Switzer’s tenure was ended by scandal. Bob Stoops retired at the hour of his own choosing.

Riley is taking a different path. So is his university, which is leaving a Big 12 Conference it has dominated for the meat grinder of the SEC. No matter what he might say, Riley’s departure and Oklahoma’s realignment gambit probably are not coincidental occurrences.

He will have a much easier time to win at USC west then at OK in the SEC. With the right coach, he can easily out-recruit Cali there against UCAL, Cal, Stanford etc. The PAC10 has been down since Pete Carroll left, and the guy that had Oregon rolling.
