Bobo and Friend gone?

Maybe we can get the DC out of Costal Carolina, he was on staff with Holtz, and Steve,  he said neither one ever knew his name

Wild times in college football.  I guess with all the money out there, this is expected these days.  I would be onboard with Herman and Riley.  What about our D Coord?  Any insight into that?  Muschamp maybe?  Just kidding, totally joking.  Just needed a laugh.

f**k Bobo...I'm already on the record concerning him as the hire anyway...maybe I get the guy I wanted all along...we will see.
I remember that and you nailed it...give Tanner a call

Now reports are Rocker is being contacted by other colleges and NFL.  Have to wonder if they get Arnet with they 3-3-5 defense if it does not mesh well with Rocker and he moves on

Good grief. Obviously Bobo did not want to be here. Let's go get someone that want's to be here. At least we won't have to Pay Bobo for letting him go.

Wonder if that will make Hillinski reconsider?
who, he don't want be here either don't let the door him in the ass

We didn't wait until the end of the season to fire Muschamp, so we're a little out of synch with the coaching job market right now.

Just have to take a few deep breaths and let it play out.

Herman as OC and Arnett as DC would be pretty solid.

Can Muschamp still get his full buyout if he turns down a legitimate job offer like he just did at Texas?

Agreed.. a step back is needed... let the dust settle

Bobo - meh, not that upset.  I liked him ok, but he was biding his time to leave.  Friend - that's a real d-bag move to accept a job then renege a couple weeks later.  Low class for sure.  Auburn has a staff of guys that will leave after a year or two as other jobs open up.  When you hire two coordinators who were HC's, you are on borrowed time.

Segue to Herman.  There is no doubt he is really good offensive mind.  He would be here a short time - 1-3 years, but he could dump his playbook on our offensive coaches and the staff would learn a lot.  Garret Riley would be great.  Both those guys would have to appeal to Stockton and I would think more than Bobo.

Before I close out my thoughts on the matter here and just put it in review mirror. This whole issues here goes back 5years with a AD hiring a coach that he himself had no clue in and handbasket on how to do it, first mistake second 20 M but out when really why? Now  with the C-19 no real money coming in having to buy out Muschamp adds up to broke. The Gamecock bank is empty and with losing programs in all 3 major sports has lead the way to the bottom of the hill. Tanner is ranked the 11th or 12th best AD in the SEC. So with limits on the purse strings going to be hard to compete with the Auburn's and Bama's of the world. This has been a disaster now for a while. Sorry if I have stepped on any toes, because I know a lot of fans have high regards on the AD present here. I am finished and closing the book on this myself. Just not in shock here at all.

Meant to post this here.  Did anyone else happen to see the post this morning with Beamer, Darian Stewart, and Kimrey all together this morning.  I saw it and it made me wonder.  Mike UVA just made a comment about it as well that made me think about it again.  Stewart has expressed a desire to work for Shane.

Do you think Bobo leaving for a better job is Ray's fault?
I think that the debacle that is our coaching staff/players transferring left and right now falls on the shoulders of the AD who allowed someone to drag their feet in coming to Columbia...his hiring of Muschamp/buyout was a distaster...Holbrook was a disaster...and now this...at what point does the buck stop at the top?

In all honesty it is not his fault per se that Bobo left...but he is a horrible AD (IMO)
