(Coaching search update for December 2nd)

If Napier really wanted the job at S.C. he would have stepped up and more calls to Tanner and he should have left no doubt, my sources are telling me that was the difference between him and  Beamer , Beamer left no doubt he wanted the job.
Beware the man that kisses too much butt.

Charleston Southern vacated wins across three sports programs, related to playing JUCOs that were not 100% certified. It takes our JUCOs forever to get certified and sometimes they never make it in - CSU circumvented that.

It covered football, basketball and softball - that would seem to be more on the AD and the compliance personnel, but it does give Chadwell a little taint - and he might not have been as successful without those JUCOs.
Nothing wrong with doing what it takes to be competitive, though.

247 has a story basically saying Napier didn't get what he wanted/needed/was looking for, although it's all heresay at this point.

Also, the bigger the step up in pay and prestige, the more someone will want a job.

So we are getting the guy making the least money and with no head coaching experience - who is about to get a Power Five head coaching job. No wonder he wants it so bad.

And when you promote a young guy and put him over older, more experienced coaches - including guys that have been head coaches - that will not sit well with the experienced guys that have to take orders from him.
Then  it's been nice knowing ya, see ya down the road bro.

I can see the media focusing on  just 1 point of his career and trying to drive recruits away  especially the State paper, all others look great .

  good article though.

Again, this is hearsay, but I was told Napier wanted 5 million a year, and his assistants to be the highest paid in the SEC.  IF that is the case, it could have been the final nail in the coffin.

Pay the man!  :D

If true, that's not realistic. Maybe Michigan can afford him?

Wow.  I heard that he may be holding out for the Tennessee job as well, but also heresay.

Unreal,  why do people think the Tennessee job is better I just don't understand it .
Not sure.  I know the administration there will basically let you bring in just about any kind of player you want.  South Carolina seems to be a little more stringent on certain players.   The flip side is we don't have much of this: https://www.knoxnews.com/story/sports/college/university-of-tennessee/football/2020/12/01/tennessee-football-kivon-bennett-arrested-vols-linebacker-drug-gun/3787584001/
