Muschamp has to go

I would have to buy a new lawnmower if I made the outrageous amount of money athletic coaches do nowadays.

So what is the price of our awful performance?  My best guess is $5,000,000.  If the payout was $20M last year and $15M at the end of this year, then our grief and misery is worth less than $5M.

Why is divorce so expensive?  Because it’s worth it.
Couldn't agree more.  Best thing that's happened to me.

Maybe Champ will pull something out of his a** and we win against Ole Miss. But he still should go.

Starting hill... Again. Is there any rational reason for doing this other than flipping the bird to the fans who pay his salary?

I get your angst over starting Hill but if our Swiss cheese defense can't get any stops it's not going to matter who starts.

"when the whistle blows a play isnt reviewable" from muschamp's postgame press conference.  hes said either the same thing or something similar during other times where he had a timeout to try and initiate a booth review and did nothing and he couldnt be more wrong.  its no different than if a player had went out of bounds it wasnt seen by the refs and he gained an extra 20 yards.  whistle blows 20 yards later, booth review, bring it back 20 yards.  same thing in regards to the sack before the half.  it may be well down the line on a myriad of reasons to fire him, but if your head coach cant figure out something this simple theres no way he should be a head coach.

the funny thing is if a reporter followed up and called him out on how his position makes no sense he'd get snarky as hell.

I haven't seen his postgame from last night but I do remember him saying that about reviewing the play "after the whistle blows".  He's so stupid.

You called that.
Yeah at this point (prior to Ole Miss) I thought a change at QB was warranted if for no other reason to get them some snaps for next year assuming Hill wasn't going to be the QB next year.  We put up enough points last night to win 95% of games.  The defense (or lack of it) is the problem.

I dont know, But I believe I could put together 11 of my "over the hill, senior, cane carrying, friends and score 45 on this defense. This is a joke. Muschump is a joke. Please, BOT fire Muschump and Tanner before the entire sports world is laughing at us.

Thanks to Harris it was entertaining. If it was up to Hill we would have gotten run out of town. He’s still not a good qb. 17/28 for 230 and 1/1 TD to INt. He is always good for a turnover. Ole Miss D is very bad, let’s not kid ourselves. We saw our run game last week against a good D line.

Good to know Kiffen knew what we were going to do, with that defensive genius we have and all. I don’t think Muschamp knew what we were doing.

Kiffen's a guy some folks here look down their noses at and stated that they wouldn't want him to coach here. (same as Hugh Freeze) I'd love to have him, in another year or two when he has a defense they'll be dangerous and we'll still be floundering around hoping we can go .500.

I think the "whistle" comment just shows how much pressure he is feeling. Under the gun people stress and make stuff up, sometimes. Like he is challenging you to correct him, so he can blow up and re-direct the negatives.

Hiring a football coach is probably the single biggest decision an AD will make. It is HUGE!

Mike McGee hired Brad Scott, then redeemed himself by hiring Lou and Steve.

If Ray Tanner is allowed to stay, hopefully he does the same. I hope Gen Caslen gets involved.

When Caslen was hired at Army they had lost 11 in a row to Navy.  One of the first things Caslen did was to engineer the firing of the football coach.  The new hire reeled off 3 in a row against Navy IIRC.  Caslen is certainly aware of the problem and isn't prone to tolerate mediocrity in the football program.

Yep....for all the calls to fire Ray, it may be more detrimental than keeping him and working through what went wrong.

He's not the first AD that struck out his first at bat.
