Muschamp has to go

So what is the price of our awful performance?  My best guess is $5,000,000.  If the payout was $20M last year and $15M at the end of this year, then our grief and misery is worth less than $5M.

Why is divorce so expensive?  Because it’s worth it.

Not sure how it will be negotiated out, but apparently there is a penalty built in that would drive it up to about 13.8 million if it was done now.  Tried to find the article, but I cannot remember where I read this, but I concur.  I think 5 million seems fair lol.

Do we really have a choice? We are becoming a joke.

What about Mark Rich
Well for 1 thing Richt is 60 years old and that would likely mean we'd be looking for another Coach in 4-6 years.

Also he's had a heart attack.

Third, he didn't do all that well at Miami despite being in one of the richest recruiting areas in the country.

I keep coming here thinking there is news about Muschamp. Fooled again!

I did see the Missouri game is on the SEC Alt channel in the evening. I guess that means I can stream it if I wanted....

As long as Tanner is at the helm of the athletic department this is unfortunately true.
Until he proves otherwise, I have no reason to have confidence in him as an AD.  The AD at UofSC needs to be a salesman at this point, someone who will get calls back and be able to "sell" this job to someone, so to speak.  I do not get the impression that he's capable of doing that.  He seems like a very nice and respectable guy, just not the guy we need to turn around the program that has been so heavily invested in.

I'm ok with Muschamp finishing out the season to help with buyout.  But hopefully we are at least doing some behind the scenes negotiating for a new coach.

Agreed. Need to look at Chadwell, at least - he has done well at Charleston Southern and at Coastal. He seems to always have good offenses - and after that stellar 3 point output on Saturday, that is what we need.
Yep, can't deny his success.  I hope we give him and Freeze, both, hard looks.

If Freeze is a target we need to move now. By years end who knows what other jobs will be available that are more attractive than us.  No sense in keeping a dead man walking

It's an ideal year for us....not many vacancies competing with us for a HC.

If HF's past is not an issue, this might be a great hire for us.

Dunno....

- Not many P5 teams going to need new coaches....some aren't even playing

-I'd rather be looking for a new HC right now, than last Dec. Kinda glad we waited....this might work out.
Not that we would have pulled the trigger but I would have loved to get Eli Drinkwitz before Missouri did last year. A coach on the rise and not one on the way out.

Agree. It would have been a smarter hire than Muschamp or Brad Scott.

And the guy currently at CCU....similar. He's proven enough that I think he's worth the risk.

If you remember the wise words of Mike McGee....a proven coach.

agree 1000000000%....you called it on him years ago when he went to App St from NCSt (I think)
