Official 2019 Carolina Panthers Season Thread

I'll agree about Allen and the fumbles, but I thought Minshew made more mistakes than Allen.  Lost a fumble and threw two picks should have been at least 3 as he threw one ball right to Bradberry so I was not really that impressed with him.    Allen does not to secure that ball when he is back there, not sure if it is an awareness thing about where the defenders are?  This was Allen's first pick in 3 games so I hope that he stays on that trend of not throwing picks.

Picked up Mike Davis.  Now hopefully they will hand him the ball some and let CMC get some breaks.

Going to piss off some here with this, but I called it back when newton got his big contract - at the time - on cockytalk that he’d breakdown before it ends.

I say this with question, what’s the next QB plan?  Do panthers draft a QB this year in early rounds?  Will they avoid mobile QB?  What’s the best plan going forward?

I agree Tepper has been pretty vocal he expects better, just hope he is not another Dan Snyder I don’t care what we do at quarterback, just don’t bring ?Newton back and get some offensive lineman.

Ron Rivera given the boot today.  Perry Fewell named interim with Norv Turner as some kind of assistant to HC and Scott Turner will be OC.  Only reason I can think to do this at this point in the season is to get a head start on the HC search and the team, at least the defense, looked like they gave up on Sunday.  I will be curious to see if Hurney stays or if they will go a different direction there as well.

After I heard this, first thing I checked was to see if Hurney had been canned as well. Cause this needs to happen.

I have actually been impressed with the players Hurney has brought in on his second stint and I was totally against bringing him back.  He also seems to have gotten past his issue of loyalty and rewarding past their prime players with big contracts ie Stewart and Williams when they were both over 30, when he let Thomas Davis walk this past year the old Hurney would have re-signed him.   He seems to have pretty good scouting skills, just not sure how well he has learned about when it comes time to renew those initial contracts.  He put the team in a world of hurt in this area in his last stint, so I am not sure.
