TOP 1 - Jordan Montgomery on the mound looking for his fourth win of the season. Rebels come out attacking as the first four hitters of the game all swing at the first pitch and put it in play. Line drive single to center to start it. Hit-and-run by Lee is knocked down by Montgomery, who throws the runner out at first base. After another ground out, Allen hits a bouncer back up the middle to score Bousfield from third base to put the Rebels on the board. Overbey goes deep into the count but fans at a 1-2 changeup to end the inning. Ole Miss leads 1-0

Schrock homered to right field, RBI (0-0).

Score: USC 1 Ole Miss 1

Pankake singled to center field (0-0).

Bright singled to left field (0-0); Martin advanced to second.

Greiner walked (3-2 KBSBBB); Bright advanced to second; Martin advanced to third. 2 outs 1 to 1

BOTTOM 1 - Chris Ellis enters the game not having allowed an earned run in 27.2 innings this season. Gamecocks come out hacking though. Mooney hits a bouncer to third. One down. Max Schrock, making kind of a surprise start as the DH, launches the first pitch he sees for maybe the longest home run I've seen him hit in a game. He's hobbling from the second he gets out of the batters box though. Takes him a while to make it around the bases. Pankake then rips a single to center, so the Gamecocks have one run and another base runner on three pitches. Martin goes ahead in the count 2-1. Goes to 2-2 and Martin hits a bouncer to second. Looks like an easy double play but the second baseman with a little league lollipop flip to Robinson covering the bag allows Martin to beat the throw to first base. Bright then bounces a single through the left side. Greiner walks to load the bases. DC has a great at-bat fouling off some good pitches. He gets frozen by a breaking ball that looked to be right there from my vantage point. He may have thought it crossed high? Or maybe he knew he just got got. That's 27 pitches for Ellis. Score tied 1-1

Robinson walked (3-2 BKBFBB). 2 outs tied 1 to 1

TOP 2 - Montgomery back out to the mound. Bell hits a pop up back behind the plate. Greiner hauls it in right beside the net for the first out of the inning. Orvis is first pitch swinging and hits a deep drive to center. Ball is caught a few steps shy of the track by English. Two down. After a walk, Montgomery gets nine-hole hitter Jamison to line out to Arendas at second base to end the inning. ... Probably should have noted this earlier - the wind is blowing out to left center today. Score tied 1-1.

BOTTOM 2 - Elliott Caldwell hits a slicing line drive to right field. Jamison tracks it down. One out. Tanner English ropes a single through the left side. Mooney first pitch swinging and hits a ball deep to left field. Caught on the track. Tanner English looks to have swiped second base but is sent back to the back. Umpire adjudged that Schrock fouled the ball off and the ball hit the dirt. Makes for a foul ball. No one putting up much of a fight. Count is 2-1 now on Schrock. He singles to center and just looks painful running. Count is 3-0 on Pankake - make it 3-1 now. He walks. Bases loaded for Kyle Martin. Martin jusssst misses a fastball. Sends it just shy of the track in right field. Caught for the final out of the inning. Score tied 1-1.

TOP 3 - Monty with his second strikeout of the game. Then his third. Three-hole hitter Austin Anderson now up for the Rebs. He hits a bouncer to Martin's right. He ranges over and flips to Montgomery. Score tied 1-1

BOTTOM 3 - Chris Ellis at 42 pitches to begin the inning. Bright hits a line drive to right center. Jamison gets a great jump and makes a diving catch. Won't see too many better catches this year in college baseball. Nice work by him. Gets a nice clap from the USC bullpen and fans above it. One down. Greiner and Arendas both pop out to end the inning. Score tied 1-1.

B. Bell singled through the left side (2-2 SSBFB). 2 outs

Orvis walked (3-2 FBFBFBB); B. Bell advanced to second. 2 outs

bases loaded 2 outs Ole Miss
