Running Backs Coach Wish List

The issue seems to be money at  CAROLINA I think you have offer some big money to get someone who can recruit , maybe not but hey it

sure looks like it still that that's what it's about with most of these guys.

Isn’t that what we all look for in a new job?

Exactly. Can't fault a person for looking to better their life and the life of their family. In fact, I personally would not want a coach that didn't prioritize their own betterment.

That opens up some interesting thoughts about "recruiting" asst. coaches. What's more important....they can coach up players v. can they recruit?

Something about the way Shane has picked his coaches makes me think there's some deeper thought into his coaching picks.

Call me over optimistic, but I'm not sold on an asst needing to be a "splash hire guru" to be a good coach.

And there is a wealth of resources for coaches & players that go beyond the practice field.

I agree. Shane says it over and over: it comes down to fit. He is looking for a certain kind of person and not just in his coaching/recruiting deliverables.

I like Shane I  though he was an great hire, what I am saying is in order to keep the good coaches you have to pay these guys, to keep them after an coach has proven himself,  I mean sometimes money will keep them not always, most of the hires are good fits for now. So if success comes what are YOU  going to do just keep replacing these guys or pay them to stay if they are successful .   That has  been an problem at CAROLINA for an long time, so I think o.k. get the ex ball players to come up with the money to pay the guys after all they did get an scholarship  just saying, don't know if it's right or wrong but you have to look at other programs and see how they keep people in place . It looks like he might know he's dad did it at V.T.  and look what Clemson has done  just need to figure out the formula at CAROLINA GUYS.
