WHOO-HOO!!!! DISCUSSION GAMEDAY THREAD:  USC VS CSU  Saturday Game-Time  "High Noon" Inspired by cocky0

This is how it should be against a small school like this. Plus, we're not having to face the damn triple option like most in-state teams seem to run.

I've very very impressed with Hilinski's playing thus far. He is making reads and going through his progressions. His misses are just barely off but still catchable balls.  Future is bright. very bright

when muschamp mentioned the 2 tailback set i figured thats what we were gonna run.  allows for some triple option action, zone read, qb keeper/counter, playaction, etc., i guess hilinski was due for one inaccurate pass.

ConwayGamecock players of the Game. Bet I know who you will be going with on offense. WOW been a long time sense I saw us but up 44 points in one half!!

:football-3:

crowcutta welcome aboard bet you are enjoying the Game!! :go-teamsmall:

Gamecocks offense flexed against this FCS opponent in the 1st half today, thankfully. Tommie mIssed the PAT, but we still lead 44-3 into the halftime break. We'll see how conservative we get in the 2nd half...

id have to look at it again in slow motion but i dont think greene should have been ejected for targeting.  i think the helmet came off more as a result of his arms going up to finish the tackle.  initially though yeah it looked bad.  israel got beat badly off the line on his pick and easily could have gotten called for pi if their wr did a better job of stacking him and attempting to draw the call.  that said he caught the ball, i wonder how close he got on the play earlier in the flat.

Trying to dig up some 1st half stats

Damn fine half of football! Great performances by the Oline, Hilinski and Dak plus the skill players. I know the caliber of competition is down but still exciting to see.

Love the unis lol had to say that, They are sharp. Brings back a lot of memories.

Hilinskis play makes me wonder what the hell the coaches thought he hadn’t grasped yet. And why the hell were they playing Bentley.

I know it's just CSU, but he's the best looking QB out of the box I have ever seen here.

Not wasting time looking over at the sidelines, either, for the plays to come in.

Yeah I think the helmet flying off made the hit look worse than it was - Greene more hit the WR in the shoulder than in the helmet, and the impact caused the helmet to fly off. But it still careless IMO, as Greene could have hit him lower than he did, and hit too close to his head area, while he was tied up. Greene sort of played with fire there a little bit - when he didn't have to - and he got burned...

I didn't think it was targeting either, if the offensive player had not ducked into the hit, it would not have been contact to the head. That's biggest issue with targeting is what looks like a clean hit turns into targeting when the offensive player drops into the hit.

Yeah, not much to complain about. Another heads-up about the chatbox - it can be opened in a new window, works nicely this way.
