Putin/Russia calls up 160,000 conscripts

It's very controversial. To be this belligerent towards Iran while turning a blind eye to the daily terror attacks going on in Kiev, Ukraine is a travesty.

Netanyahu has learned from Putin's tactics in Ukraine in that most nations will stand aside and let him get away with most of what he wants to do.

Trump now beating the "Regime Change" drum. I find this very concerning. One thing to drop some bunker busters down on some enrichment sites. Regime Change is next level. Did we learn nothing after the decades bogged down in Iraq & Afghanistan?

I am just glad to see us finally execute a mission successfully again.

We sold Iran F-14s right before the Shah got overthrown.

This weekend's attack was straight out of the Top Gun: Maverick movie if you stop and think about it.

Good assessment:

The Iranian ballistic missile attack tonight was aimed at a domestic audience.
Iran informed the targets (an evacuated airbase) that they would be attacked hours in advance, fired roughly a dozen ballistic missiles, and then immediately declared victory in the domestic press.

Time will tell how successful this strike was to dial back Irans Nuclear capability.

It needs to be taken in context to what the Israelis have done. Killing those nuc scientists + bombing a lot of sites are certainly as significant as what the USAF/USN did.
I would also bet Israeli intel is more precise than US intel based upon one day's air & Tomahawk strikes by the USAF/USN.

Yep, and we still don't where their other stuff is, either.
The Iranians still would have to make a deliverable device to make this a critical threat. Even if they make a warhead, they have to test it somehow & you can't hide that.
If the Iranians were truly behind the Hamas attacks on Israel, then this now has be considered a huge military blunder on behalf of the Iranians.

Conflicting intel reports out there that the bunker busters did not penetrate the facility and did not cause much damage. Hard to really know what the result is, unless we have CIA or Israeli operatives there that can assess this from the ground. We probably do, but the public will not find out I'm sure.

If they could, Iran might just outsource this to the Russians and buy some off Putin.

I know they are all buddy-buddy now with Iran supplying weapons to Putin for Ukraine, But I doubt Putin wants a Nuclear Iran on their doorstep either. I could be wrong. N. Korea may be a different story.

Getting the NATO countries to commit to 5% of their GDP on military spending is a bill deal and you knew it was eventually coming.

I am pessimistic about peace in either war, but if it's going to happen it may happen between Israel and Iran first.

Having said that, both wars are getting old.

If I'm a NATO country, I would be really pissed at Spain, who I believe was the only country to not commit to 5% for military spending.

Regardless of level of GDP commitment, the proof is in the follow through -- something the European countries have historically not met.
