Yeah, they have one more quad 1 win than us, but also have 2 more quad 1 losses. We have a winning record in quad 1 games, they are break-even. Clemson is 3-2 in quad 2 games, we are 5-0. Both teams are 4-1 in quad 4 games, and unbeaten in quad 4 games.
In the end they did beat us when it...
I don't understand the NET rankings. Clemson's ratings go up by 2, and ours drop by two spots -- despite beating the #5 team in the country on the road.
A really solid effort against MO, especially without Cardoso. However, UCONN is not MO -- this will be a huge test for this young team. I'm really looking forward to watching this game. Auriemma's teams are some of the most efficient, well-executing teams in the game. I think our ladies have...
Ok, this is what we have been asking for...now time to see how we handle success. I think this team is mature enough to be ranked and still grind. Time will tell.
The change in Josh Gray over the last two weeks has been amazing. I'm hoping a light has kicked on and the progression continues. He could be so dominant down the stretch.
This is going to get ugly. UT is suing the NCAA, and have gone public with their responses. Additionally, TN politicians have also become involved. Schools have learned from UNC's academic scandal that public lawsuits are the way to go.
What is really strange is that the NCAA's stand on NIL...
The team seems to be buying into the disrespect motivation of not being ranked. Hopefully they will keep that rolling into GA and want to revenge the loss on their home court.
I haven't heard the national conversations for coach of the year, but I have certainly heard the conference discussions (not doubting the national conversations). If Coach Paris wins a coach of the year award and gets us into the tourney, I imagine some school will take a run at him. Contract...
This is a good TN team, they are a legit long-run tourney team. We got some help from all of their point blank misses at the basket -- our defense can get credit for much of that, but those are shots that I'd be willing to be usually go in for TN.
Offhand, do you know if that is better or worse than the ladies team? I know they are also in that same ball park (although I think their number is for all home games, not just conference games).
I thought our inside game was a big part of this win (that sounds strange to say). Both Gray and Mack banged on the offensive end, and made decisive plays to the basket. Gray is so much better when he keeps the ball high and doesn't dribble. It makes a huge difference when we can score points...
Hopefully this fuels the motivation fire for this week's games. As a fan, I take it as a sign of disrespect for what the team has done this year. It can only be a quantum times worse for a player -- and hopefully the channel those feelings out on TN and GA.
Yep, I was happy that Ugusuk got some positive minutes. His stroke looked very good from beyond the arc. Once he puts on some more good weight, he could be a significant contributor.
I have a slightly different take on the this. Post game conference with LSU was not the time or place for this question, but it is a question that needs to be addressed by Dawn at some point. Coach Staley was very vocal when the MO athletic director made an accusation that felt was untrue...
