Shi Smith led the team with 12 catches for 85 yards and 1 TD in the our 38-24 loss to the #3 Gators at The Swamp in 2020.

The other "Hit" vs. Michigan by Gamecock LB Willie Hill on Michigan RB Thomas Wilcher in 1985. One of the few good moments in a game we lost 34-3 to a Wolverine team led by resurgent QB Jim Harbaugh.

Gamecock QB Jason Brown earned the starting job against the Gators by completing 8 of 14 passes for 84 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions two weeks prior during garbage time in the loss to the Aggies.
The Gamecocks would beat the Gators handily 40-17 and became the first team that season to outgain the Gators, 459-340, with 284 yards of that from rushing alone.

Luke Doty’s 82-yard touchdown to Jaheim Bell during last year's Vandy game was the longest passing touchdown of the sophomore quarterback’s career, and it was the tenth-longest touchdown in South Carolina Gamecocks’ history.

Unfortunately, Doty threw 2 picks in the second half and Vandy came back from a 14-3 first half deficit to lead the Gamecocks 20-14 with under 2 minutes left in the game. Zeb Noland guided the Gamecocks through a flawless 2-minute drill to give the Gamecocks a memorable 21-20 win over the Commodores.
