Anyone else see the hypocrisy in Rage Against The Machine requiring proof of vaccination to attend their concert?
Maybe they are raging against the anti-vaxxer machine.Anyone else see the hypocrisy in Rage Against The Machine requiring proof of vaccination to attend their concert?
Good grief. My son is getting his second shot today. Just getting the family fully vaxxed, and now this Omicron.Specialists saying we'll know more about the Omicron in about 2 weeks. Big concern what it does to vaxxed people.
I hope you are right. And also that the vaxxes hold up against it.if you look at the reports out of Israel and South Africa, it appears that while Omicron is contagious, it is a far milder version of COVID with fewer symptoms(mild cough/body aches/may or may no lose smell)...I guess we will see in 2 weeks if there is a spike in deathes
while I am certainly no virologist, I do know that "in general" these viruses weaken with time in terms of killing their hosts so maybe/hopefully that is what we are seeing here! Unfortunately only time will tell!
Just noticed where the CEO of Moderna said he expects the numbers of their vax against Omicron to fall to mid-fifty percent effectiveness -- against catching. I think it's still effective against hospitalization/serious effect.I hope you are right. And also that the vaxxes hold up against it.
it will be interesting to watch the countries already facing omicron to see if hospitalizations are on the rise...if it is indeed a milder form of Covid and evades the vaccines, then I may not be all the upset if I get it if will give my body's immune system another tool to fight Covid should a more virulent strain (re)emergeJust noticed where the CEO of Moderna said he expects the numbers of their vax against Omicron to fall to mid-fifty percent effectiveness -- against catching. Just got my booster and a flu shot yesterday.
My Facility just announced that they are extending incentive pay and CSI contracts through the spring in anticipation.it will be interesting to watch the countries already facing omicron to see if hospitalizations are on the rise...if it is indeed a milder form of Covid and evades the vaccines, then I may not be all the upset if I get it if will give my body's immune system another tool to fight Covid should a more virulent strain (re)emerge
I felt pretty crummy from about 24 hours starting about 12 hours after injection...hope yours goes wellGetting my Pfizer booster on the morning of December 7th.
Nothing to worry about. It's probably just the flight of B-17s that are due in from the West Coast. LOL

too much ant-vax propaganda out there. One of the guys at the company I work for ran his made comments in a vaccine Q&A about comparing it to the nazi barcode in concentration camps. He was gone the next day.Got my booster this morning and youngest got her 2nd.
I am amazed that some of the providers with my company would rather lose their job than get vaccinated. We service the nursing home population. And damn do they get paid well for it, but they won’t get a vaccine.
if the rate of death was higher with COVID then I think we would not see any issues with vaccination rates...it is a shame that it became politicized at its inceptionGot my booster this morning and youngest got her 2nd.

It's also kind of bonkers how it's being treated in nursing homes. Staff etc all have to be fully vaccinated according to one part of the federal gov't, then the CMA (another arm of the federal government) says you can't put restrictions on visitors (number, vaccination status, PPE, etc). This is in nursing homes where the most at-risk population is! It's crazy stuff.Got my booster this morning and youngest got her 2nd.

I felt pretty good when I got up this morning, but have hit the wall now that I am at work.I felt pretty crummy from about 24 hours starting about 12 hours after injection...hope yours goes well
Since I am in clinical trial, I just got message that if pfizer does a change for omicron I will be in that trial as well but only time will tell on that one!
Everyone stay safe!
