Evaluating Muschamp tenure at the helm so far

That is if we cut BMac loose. I'm still not sure that CWM will do that. Listening to him he has been dishing out a lot of favorable numbers for the offense from last year and making sure not to make light of all the injuries we have had on that side of the ball.
For his sack it might be best. Clemson may be the key here.

Assuming Muschamp gets fired.... Just out of curiosity, what do you think the odds are that our next coach will make it to year 5?   I want to know a percentage.   Do you think it’s pretty good?  50/50?
This is why I’m fully supporting hiring Lane Kiffen.  He’ll be here 1 year, fail, and be off to UCLA.  We won’t have to wait 4 years to write him a big check to leave.

Well the nightmare season is over 4-8. What's next?  Season end thoughts? Final grade?

Here's a link to what I thought was a great article from a few years back.

Reading how he reacted to his failure at at Ole Miss just reinforced why I believe Muschamp will never get it done here. Orgeron had a notebook full of things he'd do differently if he ever became HC again, and guess what, he made those changes. What did Muschamp learn from his failure at Florida? Nothing. He got fired because of bad offense and injuries, and he doubled down by hiring Roper and Dillman.

One guy was humble enough to change, the other has been too proud to admit he's done anything wrong. Worst of all IMO, Muschamp has now taken to bashing the history of our program and cherry picking statistics to let the "b!tching" fans know how good he and his staff are.

I'm willing to believe that champ is humble enough to make changes but not smart enough to recognize what they should be. However, the "bit ching fans comment" makes me want to reevaluate his humility.

Why should he? He can continue to screw Tanner out of more $$ while dragging this fiasco into another season. USC is the dumbazz of CFB.

The only way this ends is an obvious firing or some miracle hire that fixes everything.

Best case scenario is first find an AD. Hopefully with coaching changes we can pull out 6 wins next year and let the new AD decide. Like to see Caslen hire his guy for AD.  That is the first thing. Do not want Tanner in control of the next HC hire. Just my  :twocents:

His body language is telling to me.  When presenting his case on his record in the last 4 years, he looks the questioner directly in the eyes.  He is confrontational and speaks to his passion.  The defense of his teams performance after a loss he looks towards the table and seems to answer very scripted.  I think he doesn’t believe in what he is saying.  I believe this is where he thinks he failed at FL, his handling of the local press and the fans.  He thinks his coaching style and the program is on the right track, he doesn’t like having to answer for it......especially to the fans.

my thoughts,

I agree 1000%....until we get rid of Tanner this will never work out.  He has obvioulsy hitched his wagon to Muschamp and I think based on the mindboggling contract negotiation it is time for Tanner to step down as well
