He gone!

Without looking and being totally ignorant of his pay, or really recalling whether he's an O or D coach, I'd think he'd be a good fit for us and we could pay him more.

Or at least we probably could have.

But of course this might just be me refusing to accept reality.  Talk about doing less with more...that's UK.
Bold: I totally agree. The guy is a good coach, and knows how to max out his players.

I think maybe less is expected of him and the FB program there, because of the prominence of the BBall program.

I’m all for Freeze, Napier or Chadwell. I believe any of the three would be good for the program. I I’m leaning more toward Napier, but as Carolina Corpsman said Freeze and Napier are 1a and 1b. The only reason I think of Chadwell as the third choice is recruiting experience. I think the other two have better experience on the recruiting trail at this level.

They were talking about Stoops on 107.5 yesterday and said the basis of his success at UK was his ability to tap into the Ohio recruiting base as a neighboring State.  They  weren't sure whether he could recruit enough Ohio kids to come here at the rate he's getting them to UK.

I hope for freeze, but auburn and Tenn will be looking...unless auburn makes it to .500 or more. Freeze might go to Tenn

Less with more would definitely apply to freeze at liberty

Correct...for a defensive guru. I believe this is one of the things that drives the fans crazy. its inexplicable how it can be so horrid.
Yep - I never expected our offense to be particularly flashy or innovative with Muschamp. I did expect our Defense to be one of the elite in the conference by now. 4 yards and a cloud of dust can win a lot of games if your defense is stifling.

But instead for the past three games, the other team has scored 48+ points.

The absolutely most baffling thing about the Muschamp era. Our defense got worse each year, despite more talent.

Sounds like Horn gone too. Not sure how wise quitting and letting your last college film be of a game where you got absolutely torched was a smart move, but his choice.

I doubt many...if anyone here...actually saw this game but just to show how close this game actually was...it was tied at the end of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd...with each team scoring the same amount in each quarter...back and forth with-in each quarter...it was then tied again until Coastal hit a 40 yard FG with 4 seconds left to win 30-27.

This game was so insanely close...that when the game was over...The Ragin Cajuns had gained 413 yards of total offense and Coastal had gained 414 total yards...the difference here was a single yard and a single play...with 4 seconds left on the clock.
For anyone interested in reviewing the game.

I don't agree with him or any of the others quitting, but it's probably best for their NFL draft status.  3 more games to go and getting torched in those too would hurt their stock.  Once we get more team players, we will see success.

Mukuamu is gone too. Just announced.

RJ Roderick opted out for the rest of the season. I assume he doesn't think he's going to get drafted.

Realistically you give Bobo a one-year deal if he can pull off a Dabo and win out, especially if he upsets UGA.

Also, unfortunately there will be more schools eliminating athletics because of a catastrophic lack of enrollment revenue due to Covid.

For the same reason, I would be extremely surprised if Muschamp gets anywhere close to his buyout money due to the revenue crunch the school is in right now.  There has to be a clause in there somewhere about an economic catastrophy or something.

The historically lavish contracts are probably a thing of the past right now as well.

I will say this...

I started going to the basketball games several years ago down at the CLA when I was out of work for a lot longer than I wanted to be.

The way Frank's teams fought the whole game despite losing motivated me not to feel sorry for myself and keep diggin'.  The same for Dawn's squads.

I can't say that about the dang football team.

Frank and Dawn are fighters.  Shawn Elliott was the only football coach that came close to having the inner fire of Frank and Dawn.

Life is hard and unfair and you gotta be tough if you're going to live and work in this world.

I don't care about football because enough players seem like they don't really care enough during the entire season to get the wins.  That's not the way I live my life.

Looking forward to basketball season.
