I think he is the kind of player that makes a good coach. Not the most physically gifted, although very gifted, he had to be much more cerebral in his play. Could be interesting for sure and just coming out of the NFL he is relatable to today's kids.

There are lots of great names on this thread. We all have our favorites to fill out Coach Beamer's staff. However, I think he needs to get this done soon. The Dec. 16th signing date is upon us and we really need to have a staff announced so we can keep the commits we have left and continue to pursue the ones that may wait until February. I think having Coach Beamer is a big plus, but convincing a kid to join a 2 and 8 team is not going to be easy.
I think we're going to see a lot of action on traditional NSD this year ... moreso than the last few, because recruits will want to get to know the new staff, etc. ... plus potential flips from other schools will want/need the time too.
I have a feeling there will be more coaches we have on staff now staying than we realize. They are several on staff that has done well, and as long as they can coach within the relms of Coach Beamer, we actually should keep them. I feel the minimum of coaches we keep is 3.
As far as recruiting, Coach Beamer is already working the transfer portal like a mad man. He will also work the JUCO ranks hard. Both avenues are being hit hard to find talent we could sign next week. Once that is done it will be interesting to see how our staff approaches the Feb. signing date.
Any more details on what you think? The ones I see worth keeping are Connor, Kitchings, and maybe Bobo in some capacity.
I think it depends on how much of the performance was due to Muschamp having a cripplingly constraining grip on what went on at the individual positions. It's hard to tell from a fan perspective if that was a cause or not. A lot of coaches that we were excited about when they were signed (Wolford comes to mind) underperformed based on expectations. Beamer probably knows a lot more about what went on from talking to the coaches than we do.
I only say this just in case there's some unexpected holdovers of coaches who's position group was underwhelming. It's hard to succeed if you have a bad boss.

There has not been much coaching news/speculations floating around lately. Everything seems pretty quiet.
How many schollies does he have to work with? With the extra year of eligibility this may be awkward.
I think that may be a good thing. Maybe they have narrowed down the prospects and are now in serious conversations, keeping things quiet. At least I hope that is what it means
