Putin/Russia calls up 160,000 conscripts

Thanks! I couldn't remember the timeline! I can't believe it is still going on! I wonder what the endgame is at this point
Only endgame I see is either Putin loose power (very unlikely - look what he did to that one dude that sent his troops towards Moscow.). Or he dies - He's getting old, but could be may years still.

Agree, best case scenario at his point would be for someone in his inner circle to take him out. Anything else seems unlikely.

Unfortunately, Putin is willing to grind it out for as long as it takes to claim some kind of victory. The drone and missile attacks every night on Ukraine are worse than what the Brits endured with the V-1 & V-2 rockets in WWII.

From what I can read, the Russians have gotten much better at defeating the Ukrainian drone attacks on the front lines. If this fails, parts of Ukraine are at risk to being overrun just because of manpower shortages. Sad.

Dang...now we have to watch Russia/Ukr as well as Iran/Israel...two areas that need regime changes
The last regime change thing did not work out so well with Iran. At least things seemed more stable under the Shah. Seems like the middle east has been in turmoil ever since. I think if there is a regime change it should come at the hands of the Iranian people not something we instigate. We have a long history of bad moves when it comes to this. Looks like Iran now wants to talk, but not sure the Israelis will stop until they know Iran is no longer a nuclear threat.

Good points, I also find it interesting that no other Mid East nations seem to be that upset with Israel doing this. I suspect that in the inner bowels of discussion in these Governments that they're actually secretly cheering Israel on although they could never publicly admit it.

I agree. I think most people in the middle east just want to live their lives. It is the extreme ideologues that cause the problems.

That's what an Israeli official said in an interview with one of the networks over the weekend.
