The beginning of the end of the Beamer era?

Huh? He’s 116-58 as a head coach. He’s been moving up the ranks, and someone is going to snatch him up sooner or later. Could be us.

I don’t think that Beamer is gone after this year… unless we find a new AD and he finishes with a losing season. I think he gets told in no uncertain terms that he needs a new OC and a bowl game appearance in ‘25. All depends on the AD.

Has he ever beat the Sooners in Norman, has he ever beaten the Vols, has he ever beaten a top 25 team, top 10 team, has he ever recruited a top 10 player... It was absolutely embarrassing to think about firing Beamer and hiring that guy, he has no cred, NONE and folks that have coached on National titles, won them, played and won National titles, coached in the NFL can't coach according to you and some others LOL when we lose mostly but now even when we win because they just want to be right, be that fan that told everybody, is smarter than everybody to include the head coach and administration who do it for a living... I'm all for that constructive criticism but derailing a season is just lunacy to me, wait till the season is over... some of the same folks calling for folks to be fired said Spurrier quit on us when he left in the middle of season but have no problem quitting on the team in the middle of the season instead waiting till it's over! Especially a season many had little to no expectations based on schedule and an already jaded opinion of the coaching staff... A team of talent with a coaching staff making strides on the recruiting trail... I think we all too often fall back too the attitude of here we go again and let our past history effect our future!

It’s bad. No way around it. There are bright spots, nobody is saying otherwise, but offensively even in the Oklahoma game, the numbers have been below mediocre.

Of course if you have statistics to show otherwise? I’d love to see them.

He sent a QB from South Carolina to the NFL after the kid was an absolute head case, he has Sellers a few plays from looking steller.
Those plays are what young Alpha male QB's make, the mistakes they have to learn under fire, the trusting a WR, TE... The learning to throw it away, rush to the line, tuck it and run, put your head down or slide, staying in bounds to run the clock, protecting the ball with both hands when pressure is close(at all times)...
Your post was about replacing Beamer with a much lesser coach in my opinion, one with no cache walking into an SEC recruits house and not about the OC... A coach that has no clue what it is like to play on the biggest stage, no clue, none, nada to play the likes of lsu, bama and the sooners in the same season would be as foreign to him as you wearing Garnet Glasses!

Yeah, looking at the schedule we beat Wofford. Should beat Vandy. Need to figure out a way to win at least 1 out of OU, A&M, mizzou and Clemson. Carolina will be an underdog in all of them.

We still have to play a couple of them.

If we didn't, but we still beat Missouri and Vanderbilt and finished with a 7-5 record, would we still be just mediocre?
I think we will beat both of them and Clemson. 8-4. Would you still call that mediocre? Would you still say Coach Loggains was a terrible OC? Would you still be ready to fire Coach Beamer?
My biggest issue is, maybe you should quit trying to be so negative and start supporting the team and coaches you currently have

I’ve said multiple times that Beamer can succeed, he needs to ditch the anchor of hiring demonstrably bad OC’s and hire a home run OC. One of the allures of Chadwell is that he brings an offensive system with him. (Last HC we had that brought an offensive system was spurrier, worked out pretty well for us).

Let’s see how the season plays out, but from reading multiple boards, I know I’m not the only person who shares these sentiments.

You ask for stats, but you forget the important "Apples for Apples" when doing comparisons.
Beamers entire HC record is at a SEC school. Chadwell has never even been a FBS coach. Chadwell did okay at Coastal and Liberty, but has no clue about trying to recruit in the SEC. Chadwell's competition at those schools was nothing like competing in the SEC.
Chadwell would be like Brent Venables is in the SEC. He would be lost trying to figure out how to compete against SEC schools.
So, you really cannot compare Chadwell to Beamer.
Loggains is way better than Satterfield was. Beamer learned his mistake with Satterfield and made him change in that 2022 season and he ended up leaving. I think Beamer probably told him it was time to go. I think a lot of what you feel is Loggains being incompetent is he is waiting on Sellers to mature and learn more about being an SEC QB. As Sellers gets more experienced, I think the Offensive stats will look way better.

Beamer is here for another year or 2 min unless we totally fall off or something out of the blue happens. I like him and want him to be successful and be here for a long time. I’ve said before that he took a gamble and tied himself to this OC like a boat anchor. Much will be determined in how he manages this in the off season both staff/personnel and player wise. Currenlty there’s little to make me think we see much improvement W-L next season considering the schedule and what we’ve seen player development and scheme wise. Rattler hid this and the glaring holes in the offense. All those close losses this year are still just losses unless we’re looking for participation trophies.

Once again this is about calling for Beamer to be replaced by a guy who lost to 1-6 Kennesaw St...about you giving respect to that coach and not being able to see how ridiculous that is while calling our team mediocre and continue to trash the Offensive Coordinator because you you want to be right, you want the masses to follow you down the street with pitchforks and torches calling for Beamer to be fired, for the OC to be fired, for the team to be mediocre no matter what happens the rest of the year because your opinion is jaded!
Sorry my friend, I will talk stats and personnel after the season but we will probably not agree then either. Spurrier won with defense... similar to the trajectory this team is on, very similar!
