Agree completely...I saw a game in the Carrier Dome (Syracuse), and it was horrible -- as with your experience, I was up in the nosebleeds, and ended up following the game on the scoreboard. Also, ironically, at the time the Dome wasn't air conditioned, even though the naming rights belonged to Carrier Heating and Air (lol).Those big domes are terrible for basketball. I went to the 2000 Final Four in Indianapolis at the RCA Dome and all the seats were terrible. I pretty much just watched the jumbotron the whole time.
