The Trivia Thread

Then it has to be Uruguay.

I was going between Chile and Colombia for my next guess.

That was a tough one!

OK next question...Major league Baseball has been played for 152 years and is rapidly approaching 20,000 players who have suited up.

With all of that time and all of those players only 1 player has recorded a hit with 2 different teams on the same day, who was it?

Probably a player after teams started flying but not too recently and got traded a bunch.

My guess Manny Mota

Also Topps lost its 70 year licence to produce MLB cards today to the apparel company Fanatics.

Good guess but no.

Haven't heard that about Topps.   Kinda sad in a way.  I was big into collecting baseball cards as a kid.

Had hundreds of them.  Unfortunately none of them survived as some of them were put on my bicycle spokes and my brother and I used to throw them at each other ninja star style etc.

Prolly had a small fortune in those cards...sigh.

Yep, in1979 when I was ten me and a buddy set up hockey rinks on our carpets and would walk to the PX and buy hockey cards to play on it. That was Wayne Gretzky's rookie year and that card is worth a fortune now.

Second guess. I know it's probably not but he played a long time for a bunch of teams, Rickey Henderson.

Nope

The baseball one is gonna be hard.

Here's an easy one in the meantime. What was the first Gamecock football player to have his number retired? Bonus: What number?
