Reviving this thread with some 90's Music trivia.

During 6 week period between Aug 12 and Sep 24, 1991, 6 huge, game changing albums were released, all of which can be considered to be among the most influential rock albums of all time. What were they?

Don't know if it's on your list of 6, but REM's Out of Time came out in '91.  For my money, the best band of the '90's,

that's right!  That was a great album and I bet it is one...I saw them in Knoxville back in the early 90's...I will say I hated it when they made Monster

There were a lot of great albums put out in '91. REM Out of Time was one of them. That came out in the spring though, and not one of the 6 in 6 weeks.

I was discussing this with my wife and she suggested the Red Hot Chili Peppers album (we can't remember name but it has Give it Away on it) and she asked if smashing pumpkins put anything out around then b/c she thought RHCP, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam and NIrvana toured together

RHCP - Blood Sugar Sex Magic is the 3rd one.  That was their break out album.

I think Smashing Pumpkins may have put out Gish in '91. But it was not during this time period.

How did I not guess that one? I played the grooves out of it.
this is a great question and brings back some great memories...makes me think back to what I was doing at those times...it is awesome how music does that...I was 14 at the time

So far we have:

Nirvana Nevermind, Pearl Jam 10, and RHCP Blood Sugar Sex Magic. 2 Seattle bands and one Cali band.

I'll give a hint on the remaining 3. 1 more is from Seattle, and 2 more from California.

Ok, maybe Cypress Hill self titled album -- critics have always rated them highly.  Not on any of my playlists.

Did you see my Alice in Chains guess?

Oh FFS, how did I forget this? How about "Badmotorfinger" by Soundgarden? And I call myself a Pac NWer.
