The Trivia Thread

I got curious about that as well and looked up the record book. The 83-84 season was our first in the Metro. Apparently, one of our games against Clemson and the game against DePaul were also designated conference games. Unfortunately, that fellow didn't remember it accurately. The book shows our first Metro win was against Cincinnati in late December. We did beat Notre Dame, but that was in early February.

Thanks, if you're not familiar with Teddy Hefner he is a USC grad who worked for the State paper for about 20 years (sports department) and then was let go and did local sports talk radio for another 15 years or so.  Him and Mike Morgan did a morning talk show way back in the day, maybe on WVOC before Morgan hit the big time?

Guess #1 - George Harrison (Beatles, solo, Traveling Wilburys)

Guess #2 - Eric Clapton (Yardbirds, solo, Cream)

Although I'm not sure if the Traveling Wilburys or the Yardbirds are in the RRHOF.

Good guesses - Here is another possibility

Guess # 3 - Neil Young (Buffalo Springfield, solo, CSNY)?

Clapton I believe is the correct answer

What is cookie monsters original name?  Meaning what was his name before he starting eating cookies?

One last Clapton question: Name, in correct chronological order, the major bands that Eric Clapton has been a part of - not just guest appearances (Beatles etc) but a full-fledged sitting member.

Yardbirds -> Cream -> Derek and the Dominos

I know he's played in several more bands, but I'd consider those 3 to be the major bands, unless you count the solo albums.
