OC choices

Agree, going after family is unacceptable and should not be tolerated. That being said a D1 coach needs thick skin, if you can’t handle message board criticism your in the wrong line of work.

I also think him to Nebraska may have been cooking for a few weeks and the bluster about Satterfield calling the plays the last few games was coach speak until the ink was dry.

Now harassing him or his family in public goes beyond the bounds and I cannot understand how someone could do that.
100% this. There's no excuse for expressing any displeasure to any family member.

And I don't think any lack of success was from Satt not busting his butt, trying to get to success. But sometimes it just doesn't work out, whether it is the scheme or the players not fitting to the scheme. I thank Satt for his efforts, and wish him success everywhere unless he plays South Carolina.

It’ll be so nice to have an OC whose offense isn’t contingent on being able to predict the coverage for the defense. Defenses are too good at disguising these days and the compact formations made exotic looks so easy to throw Rattler off.

On another note if it ends up being Kitchens I will trust Beamer knows to make that hire. Not all of the offenses that are so hot in other conferences work in the SEC with the defenses week in and week out. Leach has not exactly lit the world on fire with his offense. Gotta play complimentary football on both sides of the ball

Not trying to dog you but Leach stuck in 2007 Air Raid and hasn’t evolved from that. The Air Raid has evolved from Leach purist Air Raid to Air Raid paired with power run concepts a la early Lincoln Riley/Dana Holgorsen before he turned full alcoholic to Air Raid with Power Run concepts paired with some Veer N Shoot elements with a robust play action game a la current Lincoln Riley

The whole pro style craze from 2019 LSU is a total myth. He mixed a very few pro style concepts amalgamated with some Briles and Air Raid to create an offense that was elite at creating 1 on 1 match ups in space which they had the talent to exploit and also has proven to be the most consistently successful way to build an elite college offense. The whole “let’s go get an NFL guy to be our OC” trope has not been successful overall. Just look at Kentucky as an example. Joe Brady was in a perfect place in his career to take an elite group of players and craft an offense that used mostly spread concepts and mesh them with a proven model for success in college to produce a historically great offense.

Good info. Give me an analysis of what GA is running. Not being sarcastic I just want to see what you see in their play mix.

Stepp will be calling the plays for the Gamecocks bowl game from what I have picked up. Good showing and maybe Stepp will move up to OC permanently.

I figured you would be in mourning. It’s Ok Ace, you’ll find a new OC
No worries Dilcock, 👍, I just hate Beamer and the players have to deal with this distraction before the bowl game and lose some of the continuity built over the last 2 years on offense. In a game of inches the little things matter, go spread some more cancer and distract the team you pull for, it is working wonders for our success, I have no doubt!

I will keep up with Nebraska next year just to see how Satt. fares.

I’ve grown to like your posts, not always agreeing with you but I do respect the pov. I don’t think this has created some cancer for the team to deal with tho. If nobody said a word, message board or social media, the players themselves did. The media certainly did. We all knew that for some reason or the other we stunk it up in several winnable games. If somehow it did create an issue that had an affect on the team, we went 2-0 after the peak of the criticism. I wish Satt well and will trust in Beamer to make the correct decision.

He wasn’t calling plays the last 2 games, it won’t matter.

We need to keep what we have been doing the last two games, whatever that is.

Not sure about all the rumors why Satt left. Hopefully we get more info in Shane's next presser.

Straight up, I have had enough up-and-down BS with Gamecock football this season to last me for a while; it's been a total buzzkill.

If the bowl game is called like the last two games and we win, then give the OC job to whoever that is if it's not Satt.

Eff Rhule. Eff Satt. Eff Nebraska. I don't give a crap anymore. Move on.

Bring his brother in

I think we got Adkins back and it was noticeable, I think Rattler improved in that time... I definitely trust Beamer or I wouldn't have posted what I posted! I'm sure the guy that said we were on our way to 6-6, 0-3 to end the season and gave up on the team knows who was calling the plays, I mean how can you not respect that debate...

The question of who actually called the last two games most likely matters to our recruits in the wake of Satt's departure to Nebraska.

We ourselves can have our own opinions, but Shane will have to answer the question at some point to give clarification to the recruits.

From that standpoint, it matters a lot.
