That's interesting. I just now refreshed the 'Wiki' page from which I copied the initial post. The post has definitely been 'corrected' to read as does your post above.

That's the way it read for me about 20 minutes ago too - so for sure some "editors" in play there.

Titles for all offensive coaches at Oklahoma

Head Coach/Quarterbacks Lincoln Riley
Co-Offensive Coordinator/Recruiting Coordinator/Inside Receivers Cale Gundy
Co-Offensive Coordinator/Offensive Line Bill Bedenbaugh
Associate Head Coach/Outside Receivers Dennis Simmons
Assistant Head Coach for Offense/Tight Ends and H-Backs Shane Beamer
Running Backs DeMarco Murray

You notice it too. Stood out to me also. But I understand the money is tight. Having to fork out 15M to Champ and maybe a M 1/2 yo Bobo along with C-19 has really put a dent in school money. really strapped not surprised here going with Beamer. Really all schools are feeling the pinch here. Maybe this can help contain the big money deals to the coaches across the board.

IF the interviews are continuing, then the "It's a done deal, Beams is on the way" stuff is just plain wrong. Think about it - when was the last time you were either interviewing for a job or on a search committee, and in the middle of the interviews you told someone to start preparing to be the next <fill in position>." It doesn't make any sense. Word is that Napier is still getting a second interview Friday or Saturday ... IF that is the case he is still very much in the running. It's not a horse race - there aren't announced leaders during the process. There will be a TON of people with "sources" reading tea leaves, like we all all - but what the gen pop milling around the yard are saying isn't generally a true reflection of any search until someone can produce paperwork or has talked to Ray, or the source in this case is the AD's office.

I really hope the interviews are continuing.  I want this to be over soon, but I don't want whoever is deciding to lock in on one candidate early, so no other has a chance.

I'm ok with Beamer, but I still think Napier checked all of the boxes best. I just hope he would want to be here as much as Beamer wants it.
