I thought it was around 50%?I hear what you are saying but 70% of the country has been vaccinated (thank god) - so it's not everyone.

We hit at least one shot in 70% of adults today:I thought it was around 50%?

Lol maybe not delta, but it keeps the DT's away.I was just in the liquor store and lady in front me tossed up a case of fire ball minis and said, “a fireball a day keeps the delta variant away”
can’t make this stuff up

I think it's 70% with the first does. Glad we reached the milestone. Too bad it took the delta surge to get there. There are still lot's of local areas around the country in the 30% range. We hit at least one shot in 70% of adults today:

over half the country supports things that are directly leading to more COVID outbreaks...some of which you alluded toI hear what you are saying but 70% of the country has been vaccinated (thank god) - so it's not everyone.
my wifes school (East TN State Univ) just mandated masks and I can't believe it will be enforcable...they (the professors) are thinking that they will be returning to virutal instruction...masks don't really matter if they are not vaccinated because people suck at wearing proper masks properlyUSC now announced they will not enforce a mask policy inside on campus buildings....
do you think it will keep them in person? I wish that public schools would require vaccination but I digressWake County School Board (Raleigh) voted unanimously to keep the masks required for all students, teachers and staff. Glad to see common some common sense prevail here at least locally. My kids are ready to go back to in person school after a year of being stuck in the house.
that is a very sketchy definition and self seving at bestA post about a policy isn't political when you are discussing the policy and not ranting about the governor or about the party you don't like, or about "how anyone who could possibly be for it is a moron" - in other words, the kinds of "real discussions" that happened every day in the politics forum. I am discussing a covid policy and its impact on parents and kids, in a thread about covid. That's all. Can you be respectful of those with different opinions than you have in a post that could be construed as political? If so, great, we'd love to hear what you have to say.
That's my point.
I don't really have the juice to comment. I will say this though. I'm proud of my city, I rarely ever see anyone without a mask in public. We seem to be ignoring all the state politics and just doing the right thing.that is a very sketchy definition and self seving at best
I am respectful but pointing out that discussing the policy of a governor is political is just that...while I may agree or disagree with policies the discussion is political...Even SAC said no comment b/c like me he does not want to make it political...COVID has been politicized to the point that people don't trust anyone especially the federal government
That being said, it is nice to see that the CDC has re-entered the realm of politics in their "mandates"...I would hate to be a small property landlord
So I looked this up. 70% of 18+ have had one does. 61% is fully vaxxed. Total population we are at 50% fully vaxxed. We hit at least one shot in 70% of adults today:

I hope so. Not sure.do you think it will keep them in person? I wish that public schools would require vaccination but I digress
Stay safe Yancey and I hope the treatment kicks some cancer azz. You were always there supporting us when our daughter had cancer. My wife and I know you can beat this. I wish people would understand that there are so many people that have compromised immune systems and other issues. Take one or 2 for the team people. It's the only way to get back to normal. We have to keep this virus from constantly mutating. The more it mutates, the more risk we incur.I'm glad that this is my recovery week. Vaccinated or not my little immunocompromised ass is not wanting to be around anyone anywhere right now
I would hope that a place like yours would shut down...ours not so much and it makes me angry...I understand why kids need to be in school and vitural learning was a colossal failure but with youngsters now getting the COVID it will be a breeding groundSo I looked this up. 70% of 18+ have had one does. 61% is fully vaxxed. Total population we are at 50% fully vaxxed.

that is good and wise...stay safe down thereI don't really have the juice to comment. I will say this though. I'm proud of my city, I rarely ever see anyone without a mask in public. We seem to be ignoring all the state politics and just doing the right thing.
