If you look at who (demographically) is not taking the vaccine, it trascends political lines (no matter what is said on the news) though I definitely agree that in my neck of the woods if follows politcial lines though we have a very homogeneous population

I am unfamiliar but also would not be surprised if it is done somewhere in the US in secret but luckily the ethics of the scientific community in the USA considers it taboo...I understand why they do the research from the viewpoint of understanding the virulence of various pathogens but as we are seeing with whatever gains are made the risks are extremely high!  I asked my BIL (he is a virologist at the CDC) and he told me that he could never see what happened occurring in the US fwiw...but then again he may not know of course everything that goes on and the NAIAD is separate from the CDC under the umbrella of the HHS so there may be a good bit of non-overlap...whatever the case it obviously sucks!

Yeah - Not saying it's still going on. But that facility was used for bio weapons research in the past, has some history with Anthrax. It's still in operation and has been used in ebola research among others. 

Regarding Wuhan, hard to say what happened. It is know they were studying corona viruses, and it's plausible that this one escaped from there. Whether they were involved with specific gain-function research to make them more potent, I'm not sure. Not ruling it out, but that would be way more sinister then just studying them for research.

Yes, when you factor in minorities who are distrustful of this kind of thing. 

But, in the past few months......4 different conservative & outspoken against masks/vax have died of CV. Disturbing. 

Enyart is one of several conservative radio hosts who passed away recently from Covid-19 complications after complaining about masks and expressing skepticism about vaccines. Dick Farrel, a Florida-based talk radio host, passed away from the coronavirus in August, as did Nashville-based host Phil Valentine, who 65 when he died. Marc Bernier, another Florida-based conservative radio host and an outspoken opponent of masking and vaccines, also died of Covid-19 last month.

I can easily point out people who voted/feel the other way who are dead as well...the truth is that the level of mistrust needs to be addressed but I don't think it will be solved within the scope of the current pandemic...when we are a nation allow everything to be hyperpartisan then this is a potential outcome

Maybe something good can come from those talk show hosts' deaths? Maybe, just maybe it will shake some people up. 

It reminds me of the term "tickling the dragon's tail".

if seeing the death totals in the hospitals for vaccinated vs unvaccinated isn't enough, I am not sure anything will help (unfortunately)

I agree with all you say...it would be nice to get some actual answers as opposed to doublespeak but the cows are already out of the barn so I hope that conversation will hopefully prevent a future pandemic (if that makes any sense) and if people have lied or hidden the truth etc they should be held accountable as a deterrent...I really dont' think this was set free on purpose or anything like that

It is really a sad state that so many folks have been led to believe 'science' somehow is controlled by some elite boogiemen out to control everyone like sheep. Not just just regarding covid, but many other issues as well. A shame it takes people literally lying in the deathbed to come to their senses, even though it is too late.

In today's world, it wouldn't matter where the research is done. A virus like Covid-19 was  gonna be uncontainable.

 
So basically the FDA, defaulting to the 'protects against serious disease', just decided that we all have to get COVID and hope it doesn't turn out that way? 

 
Kind of hoping boosters would be approved, but there does seem to be a conflict of interest in the pharmaceutical companies, which would profit greatly from government paid recommendations, advocating and submitting data for additional vaccine sales.

 
Pfizer states that data from trial of 5-11 year olds show vaccine to be safe and effective. Plans to submit to FDA 'soon' for Emergency Use Authorization.

Hellz yeah....I am getting booster this friday (finally lol) but I would trade it for my other kid getting vaccinated

 
The Seattle Times did an interesting data crunch of states with low vax numbers vs high vax numbers. Sadly, for every person dying in the highest vax-rate states like Maine, 12 die in lowest vax-rate states like Mississippi. 12 to 1 ... just so sad, because 11 of those are 100% preventable.

Most non-vaxxers want nothing to do with those facts. They stickin' to their stories. 

 
I am not sure if this is the case everywhere but if you want the booster just go in and say you have a predisposing condition...they don't ask for any proof and pharamcist will give the injection...I was told that they dont' do anything with the informatoin in terms of any sort of national database...I don't care what the FDA says, I think that you had better do what you feel is best for you

Does it have to be the same type? Seems Moderna may now have better results than Pfizer.
