Yes! If those events were causing spikes, we'd have known about it. It would be interesting to know why.It does not appear that the large outdoor events are causing large spikes so that is a good thing. We are 4 weeks into the season and cases in our state are actually starting to drop off some so let’s hope this trend continues
honestly I think that people are not getting tested nearly as often as they are potentially symptomatic....all that being said I am hoping we are seeing the delta starting to burn out but who knows if there is another variant that will do the sameYes! If you remember, there was a soccer match in Italy very early in the pandemic that was a super spreader.
Yep....I was wondering that people are now more likely to stay home if not feeling well.honestly I think that people are not getting tested nearly as often as they are potentially symptomatic....all that being said I am hoping we are seeing the delta starting to burn out but who knows if there is another variant that will do the same
I don’t know I think if people are feeling bad they are so worried now they get tested. Either they are asymptomatic or the events are really not causing a massive spread. More people in these huge crowds being Vader certainly helps. I know a ton of people who refuse to get tested unless they are worried about needing to go to the hospital...it is crazinessI don’t know I think if people are feeling bad they are so worried now they get tested. Nice! This kind of thing is what it will take to get us out of Pandemic in my mind...people wone vaccinate for prevention can now access oral antivirals...hopefully if this proves efficacious then it will open up hospitals
Passed 700,000 dead this weekend.I know a ton of people who refuse to get tested unless they are worried about needing to go to the hospital...it is craziness
As for the outdoor events, I just can't help but think that it spreads very poorly in wide open spaces
hopefully we will see this number start to ebb (I hope at least)Passed 700,000 dead this weekend.
I just hope that when delta burns out we don't have another variant waiting in the wingsPositive cases dropped 35% from August to September so hopefully we are dropping off like Europe has already started to do.
80% isn't going to happen...the best you may get is 80% immunity rate (which is really what should be focused on IMO)We already have a C variant circulating. While it is great to have some new treatments they will not stop the mutations. We need 80%+ vax rates
Agree and the variants will continue as they are coming from overseas. We could get 100% vaccination here and variants are still going to be an issue80% isn't going to happen...the best you may get is 80% immunity rate (which is really what should be focused on IMO)
