Corona virus, the non-asshole thread

Thanks STS. Right now I have had cold like symptoms for 3 days, nothing worse at this time. Let's hope it stays that way. We had the entire family tested via PCR test yesterday. Everyone was negative except me. So that is good. Right now my main concern is not spreading it to the rest of the family.  Everyone is vaxxed  except my son, who is 10. (Of course I am vaccinated and still got it). I am isolating in the spare bedroom, sweating with the windows open. When I do go downstairs I double mask. Everyone masks up when they are in the house common areas (outside of their rooms). 

Not sure what you mean by "have my kids had TB" - tuberculosis?

My wife went out today to try to find some N95's with no luck/ If you have a few to spare that would be awesome.

Yeah...TB...meaning I have friends who have adopted children from other countries (not sure if that is your case as well) that have had TB in the past making COVID a big problem should they contract it

Shoot me your address and I will drop some in the mail!

Ahh got it. Our kids were both US adoptions and have had all typical vaccines and no TB. Thank god.  

 
Boom! Tennessee is leading the nation in the incidence of COVID in children

I am sitting here just waiting for me or my children to get COVID...not an easy feeling

Report from day 4 of the plague. I have had persistent cold symptoms the entire time. Sore throat, cough, congestion, stuffy head. No fever so far. Feel slightly better today. Been isolating in our spare bedroom and getting stir crazy. I sleep in in the mornings and just take it easy.

I check in on work stuff periodically just addressing things as I can. I told my boss I would check in from time to time, but will not be working a full schedule. I am probably putting in around 2-4 hrs a day (vs 9-10 before).

Yeah so far no ne else has symptoms. We had everyone tested 2 days ago. Will test again in a couple days just to stay on top of it.

Glad to hear you're still relatively ok.  So, if you listen to "old wives" you are supposed to "feed a cold and starve a fever", but there's nothing about what to do with the effing plague.

So, have you started taking medical advice from Joe Rogan yet?

Hospitals running low on O2.  Rockets launches curtailed.  Now ben asked to limit lawn watering as it sues O2 as well.

That's insane. Apparently oxygen is used in water purification plants. So they are asking people to use less water, so they have enough oxygen for hospitals. 

I am feeling much better. Except for some lingering sniffles, my symptoms have all gone away. Gives me an excuse to sit around all day long in isolation and do nothing but watch football. Something I have not been able to do in a looooong time.

Great day it's been. I'm feeling back to normal. We all went to get tested and the entire family tested negative. 

Plus gamecocks win and taters are loosing. 

 
Just wondering....is anyone still taking the D3/Zinc combo for immune boosting?

 
I do 5000 iu D3 with some avocado fat to aid absorption, daily.  But not as a zinc combo.  I get 11 mg of zinc daily in my multi-vitamin, so not sure what the recommended zinc dosage is for the boosted immune therapy?
