What should our response be if Russia invades Ukraine?

Did you just compare Zelinski to Hilter?
Only if history repeats itself, listen both countries were allies with us even after Russia invaded Crimea- the center leaning right and left had lots of questions about that then. Both would be considered corrupt, I'm not talking from any knowledge because I have not been to either(at least that i can talk about) but I know people that have and in the description for both the word corrupt was prevalent. When Russia invaded the 2nd time the left had made them an enemy to win an election, I'm not saying they didn't have a preference, not saying they didn't interfere different debate, different day but I'm saying Trump is not a Russian plant or on the side of Russia, that is propaganda to gain power! When they gained the power they chose a side publicly and Russia was to blame, totally different than Crimea but not diplomatic at all and we publicly set Ukraine on a pedestal and made a hero, a paper champion that was an actor just a short time before... that's all. This Hero is now making power plays, setting terms, leading after we gave him weapons and they are building weapons at a very fast pace... we have created many monsters in our history, that's all I'm saying and I'm pretty sure we put him in power!

It's happening. Be prepared for the possible end of NATO and a new alliance formed.

If Europe wants to finally step up then good for them and Ukraine. Again, Ukraine on its own can't defeat Russia on the battlefield.

I keep hoping that there are a few sane people left in Russia that can end this but apparently there's not any.

Which will inevitably throw Europe into a war with Russia (WWIII). Some of this has already started with Russia dragging anchors in the Baltic Sea and cutting cables.

No way this doesn't circle back around and bite the US, even if it's just global economies taking a hit.

We also can't forget that both the UK and France are Nuc capable.

The possible end of NATO:

Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander James Stavridis warns that NATO may be approaching its end, suggesting the potential rise of a new "Organization of the European Treaty" as a replacement."I think we're moving toward the final days of NATO," he stated.

So what's the answer then if Russia is determined to continue this war and possibly expand it to other European countries? Also I don't believe for a minute that Europe is ready to jettison the US piggy bank.

If Europe is ready for a reset and wants to cut there nose off to save face it will lower our deficit... terrible way to look at it but facts. Some would say we alienated our allies but with Trumps action that would be hard pressed now because our position is clear! In the Art of War it states, "knowing your enemy thoroughly, utilizing deception as a core strategy, avoiding prolonged warfare, prioritizing preparation and planning, aiming to subdue the enemy without direct combat, seizing opportunities as they arise, and adapting tactics based on the situation, essentially seeking victory without unnecessary bloodshed by outsmarting your opponent.

Please always remember which President is responsible for killing NATO

We had a choice as Americans, we accidentally chose Elon Musk and his decision to end NATO will be disastrous

You really think trump read the art of war?

There are no dirty pictures of women in the entire book! I doubt he read it!

Maybe they put an excerpt in Playboy once

I wasn't aware NATO had dissolved. Can you please provide a link?

This is literally the only thread with any activity on this board, no wonder a moderator asked us to tone it down lol

Just a reminder, Donald Trump was impeached for withholding aid to Ukraine because Zelenskyy refused to help his presidential campaign.

Remember that when considering what happened in that fiasco the other day

A broad question that needs a timeline.
Russia does not have the ground forces to take Ukraine, much less anything else. They are struggling to gain just a few km of land in Ukraine & have yet to rid Kursk of the UkAF.
Expansion of the war would only come if peacekeepers placed in Ukraine by Europe were attacked, Europe counter attacks, and then Russia began hitting places like Finland & Poland with drones.
That would generate a full on European air war, which would hammer Russia.
Europe needs the US arms industry for supplies + F-35s. So they have to walk that tight rope.

The US is on the cusp of abdicating our 80 yr legacy of being the "arsenal of democracy". Russians are rejoicing. It will cost us.
Legacy conservatives like Eisenhower, Nixon, & Reagan are turning in their graves.
We have forgotten the tyranny of the Nazis and the Soviets.
Europe cannot forget.

Ok so I'll ask again, if Europe is so "for" Ukraine why aren't they doing more and why do they continue to finance Putin's military machine by buying Russian oil?

As a lifelong student of history I can tell you without reservation that wars often start and or expand by accident. Why would Putin want/allow/agree to having European soldiers (who would almost certainly be NATO and or pro Western troops) on his border as peacekeepers?

If what you say is true why do they need our help, why doesn't the EU ban together and take it back, why are they worried Russia will take Ukraine and move on to other countries? If Russia is not a threat what is the big deal, if they don't have the ground forces or military what is the big deal.

If the folks that support Ukraine so much how come they are not advocating we push Russia out? Especially if they are so "weak"...
