All of this started with the UVA game. WM had all off-season to fix his mess from the 28-0, and came out and laid an egg. 

I don't see how he can find a way to beat UK. Stoops is not going to give us the game.

How can you say we will give GA a tough game?  MO is much better.  If you think MO is a top 10 D, then GA is a top 5 D.

Nothing about Missouri's defense showed me they are anywhere near top 10. Hilinski had a really off day and had guys open but just didn't execute. Kudos to Missouri though for blitzing like crazy and forcing us to throw... it's almost as if they exploited a weakness which our coaches know nothing of.

Well statistically they are.  Currently #6, at 231 yards per game.     And they sure as heck looked a lot better than Bama did.

Florida was a poor coached game but where we started the current slide was AKRON. No score 2nd half. The slide has continued thru VA, NC, Ms.

 
The discussion of “when” the problem started keeps going further and further back. UVA then UF then Akron. 

 
We will have to see the season play out... unfortunately.  For example, if we beat Clemmons then all will be forgiven.

I don't have much hope though

Sadly, with our staff, I do not know if there is any way to salvage the rest of the season. I am no where near being a CFB coach, but I see things from ours that a decent HS coach could beat.

Somehow or another changes need to be made. I still feel we got some good talented players, they are just not be directed right. Look at their attitude before this last game. They were fired up and I think they did exactly what they have been told to do. At the same time, if a couple changes are made, maybe we could win a couple we are not supposed to right now. Maybe we could have another close one with UGA.

But if changes don't happen it may turn into the 97, and 98 fiasco again where it was so bad it took Holtz a year to even find a win. I hope Muschamp can get them to make the changes. Sadly, we see how long it takes him to change a QB. It might be that long before he changes a coordinator.

BTW, I was a fan during 98 and 99 and will still be during 19 and 20

What we have with UVA, UNC and now Mizzou is poor QB play. We had the same coaches on Offense - OC, QB coach - as for the Clemson, CSU and Alabama games, when we had good QB play and a strong Offense.

So the question is....are we getting out-coached in our losses or are our QBs getting outplayed? Sure, the O Line could have blocked better, the WRs could have done a better job of getting open, maybe we should have run more, we could have called better plays. But there were plenty of open throws that were missed in the three bad losses, just like they were hit in the three good offensive games.

And here is the deal. If you hit passes, it keeps drives alive, opens up the playbook, gives more room for runs. If the Offense is moving the ball, the Defense gets to stay on the sideline and rest, plus there are fewer possessions/chances to score. 

Are we getting out-coached or do we simply need better/more consistent QB play? The answer determines whether we need to make changes or keep the status quo and allow Hilinski and Joyner (and Doty next year) to solve the QB issues as they get the needed experience.

I dont disagree that QB play in losses has been bad and better in wins but isn’t that true for almost anyone? And we looked bad in other areas besides qb play in wins and losses so limited to QB play may be a bit short sighted
